Just got the same drive as you here now..
Plextor 16x10x40A (model PX-W1610TA)
I have installed it into my system (Apollo 060/66, Mediator with Voodoo3,
PowerflyerGold) and it appears to be working (as a CDROM atm). When I say
working, I do mean with a slight niggle though which I will explain in my
next email.
I have yet to work out how to use MakeCD with it though. At the moment I
keep running out of bufer on test burns and then it locks the machine up
for ages until it realises its run out. :-( (MakeCD doesnt report any
problems with the drive though)
